So this is to fill everybody in on what's been happening. About a month ago, we went in for our 4th ultrasound. Adeline wasn't co-operating. But the last one found some questionable things they wanted to get a better look at. So we went to the Royal Alex Hospital which specializes in prenatal stuff. Since then we've been there 3 times (in the last week and a half). Once for an ultrasound, amniocentesis, and Fetal echo to look at the heart. Every time we went, we would get worse news about Adeline. Well, we found out she is a girl, that was good. But she has fluid around the heart, a hole in her heart, clenched fists, she's in the 5% for size, and now, today's news she has Trisomy 18. Basically, it's not good, she won't be with us long. But there is always room for miracles.
We're ok. Better now that we know what's happening. We love Adeline and talk about her already. She is a very special girl, who we will one day have the chance to really get to know, when this life is over. We are sad but feel honored that Heavenly Father will let us bring her into this world and watch her leave. It really reminds us what's important in this life and how we need to be to see our angel again and how beautiful and important and what a blessing the Lords plan is. I'm grateful for all your thoughts and prayers and support.
Here's more info on it:

I'm not even sure what to say. My heart aches for you. I was there with Janay the day we found that video and we cried like babies. You are a wonderful mother and will find the strength you need to get through this with the knowledge that your Father in Heaven is standing with you through it all. May he bless you and your family with love and time and strength.
All my love Dy!
Again, all I can say is that my prayers are with you my friend. I think you must be a very brave and strong soul for Heavenly Father to have given you this challenge. Adeline must be a very special spirit too. I know this trial will strengthen you and your family. Love you. :-)
I found your blog purely by accident. I am also a Mom whose life have been effected by Trisomy 18. May you find peace and strength during this agonizing time. I found a great support at trisomy18support.org
Sending many prayers for your family and Adeline.

I loved reading what you wrote, that you love and talk about her already. You will love the day you get to hold her in your arms, too. You're right; she is a blessing. :)
