Our day of Closure

This was a hard but good day. It was very hard to say good-bye to Adeline for the last time, but we know we will see her again. I felt as we were dressing her that she was done with me fussing over her and that she was happy. Reassuring me that she loves us and that we will be together again. Time to continue on with life. Her little body is in a small, quiet cemetery surrounded by rolling hills, surrounded by family members who have gone. And as time goes by, there are spots for more family to join her. It is the most perfect place for our sweet Addy.

Thank you so much for sharing this. For opening up your life to us. I had never heard of Trisomy 18 until my sister told me about it and we were all heart broken. My sister has had a pretty difficult life, but next to losing our mother, this was the hardest. She is extremely strong and thanks to the Gospel, she will be able to go on and, hopefully, have another baby. She is 41 this year and I know at the beginning she felt like her age caused this. Obviously, it can happen to anyone, at any age. If you don't mind, I would like to share your story with her. She has a wonderful video as well, which you can access from her facebook page. Her name is Wendy Burton.

Thanks again for sharing and for your comments. It is always nice to know that you're not alone!

Take care and may Heavenly Father continue to be with you and your family until you all meet up with Addy again!

Much Regard,
Becky
